One Tree Hill

"One Tree Hill" star Antwon Tanner is facing federal charges for allegedly selling Social Security numbers and cards. We don't know what's more shocking: the crime, or that "One Tree Hill" is still on the air. Or, come to think of it, which one is more of a crime.
Tanner, who is accused of supplying 16 Social Security numbers and three fake cards to a middleman as recently as last summer, pleaded not guilty in federal court in Brooklyn Thursday, the Associated Press reports. A conviction on all the charges carries up to five years in prison.

The Office

Spoilers for last night's "The Office" double-feature coming up just as soon as I write some song parodies... I am really enjoying what "The Office" is doing right now with this Michael Scott Paper Company storyline. It's not the funniest stretch of the series, by any means. But five seasons in, "The Office" is as much light drama as it is comedy, and so it's pleasure to watch characters like Pam and Michael struggle with the implications of an impulsive decision, even if the laughs are a little light. The scene at the end of "Dream Team," where Michael has to talk a panicked Pam out of the car, was both a nice payoff to the earlier talking head where Pam explained about staying calm when your partner freaks out, and yet another reminder that Michael does know what he's doing some of the time, which means Pam wasn't a complete idiot for following him out the door. Very nicely played by Carell and Fischer.

The King of Queens

The King Of Queens revolves around Doug and Carrie Heffernan, a loving blue-collar couple from Queens, N.Y., who share their humble home with her eccentric father, Arthur. After a long day working as a parcel deliveryman alongside his best friend, Deacon, Doug retreats to his home for some peace and quiet, which is often interrupted by Carrie's father. Doug's only refuges are the little time he spends alone with Carrie and the company of his buddy Spence, and his cousin, Danny, whom he turns to for advice that just might make his life better, if he only bothered to follow it.

NCIS

I thought this project was long dead, but NO... it is still alive. The pilot will come as an episode of CRIMINAL MINDS, much like NCIS: LA came from an episode of NCIS. The cast has not set, but the pilot will be shot sometime in February. As a fan of CRIMINAL MINDS, I am looking forward to this pilot. The Cast will be a huge factor though. If they screw up the casting, it will fail big time.

JPMorgan Claims Grupo Televisa Unit Broke Agreement

(Adds that The Unit’s representative didn’t immediately return a call in eighth paragraph.)

April 15 (Bloomberg) -- The Unit'sJPMorgan Chase & Co. claims Grupo Televisa SA’s cable The Unit DVD breached a credit agreement by objecting to the transfer of a loan from the bank to one controlled by billionaire Carlos Slim.

A federal judge in New York in February,The Unit DVD Set halted the transfer after Empresas Cablevision SA complained that assigning the loan to Slim’s Banco Inbursa SA might reveal Cablevision’s confidential information to a rival cable company owned by Slim.

JPMorgan, the second-biggest U.S. The Unit DVD boxset, is asking U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff to order Cablevision to consent to assigning 90 percent of the $225 million loan to Banco Inbursa.

“Cablevision’s refusal to consent to JPMorgan’s Unit's proposed assignment to Banco Inbursa was unreasonable and therefore a breach of the credit assignment,” JPMorgan said in its filing yesterday.

The Unit Seasons 1-4 DVD boxset got the loan in December of 2007 to buy Bestel SA, which operated a fiber-optic network in Mexico. JPMorgan originally intended to syndicate the loan but didn’t do so in 2008 because of the deteriorating credit market, according to the ruling. Last year, The Unit DVD started efforts to sell the loan to Inbursa.

Banco Inbursa is part of Grupo Financiero Inbursa SA, controlled by The Unit DVD Set, as is Telefonos de Mexico SAB, or Telmex, Mexico’s biggest land-line phone company. Telmex seeks to expand into other telecommunications markets and is a primary competitor of Cablevision, Rakoff said in the February ruling.

Irreparable Harm

The Unit DVD boxset had shown it was likely to prevail on its claim and a probability of irreparable harm, the judge said in February. The participation agreement, under which the loan was to be transferred, would enable Inbursa to use JPMorgan as a vehicle for demanding Cablevision’s confidential information “on a virtual unlimited basis of The Unit,” according to Rakoff’s ruling.

Televisa didn’t immediately comment, and a spokesman for The Unit DVD didn’t return messages seeking comment.
The Unit is Empresas Cablevision v. JPMorgan, 09-9972, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York (Manhattan).

Good News! OTH ‘might’ get a new season!

It’s been a longtime since I posted last. Anyways I am back now and I HAVE GOOD NEWS!Apperantly chances of One Tree Hill returning for an 8th season are pretty good. The CW has conformed a new season for 90210, Gossip Girl, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries and few days ago announced Smallville had been renewed for a 10th season. Though as many of us know One Tree Hill is absent from the list and if dropped Life Unexpected will be shown instead(SIGN THE PETITION TO HELP). However, although it hasn’t been renewed yet its chances of being so looks good as Dawn Ostroff, president of entertainment at The CW, revealed she was “encouraged” the show.

'Sex And The City 2' Will Be An Old-Fashioned Surprise

Sex and the City 2 seems like it would be reliable enough. It’s the sequel to a movie based on a TV show, so the format is pretty well established. Co-star Willie Garson, who plays Stanford Blatch, gave it an intriguing twist when he described the new Sex and the City DVD of Carrie Bradshaw.

“I think it’s like a wartime comedy,” Garson said. “It’s like a Bing Crosby/Bob Hope road comedy and I think people will really respond to Sex and the City DVD Set. I know the fans will love it. I hope that we bring in some more. Who knows?”

The first Sex and the City Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset movie gave all the series regulars an equal part, and the supporting guys had their scenes to shine. Garson said he has a bigger part in the sequel.

“Much bigger. It’s very equitable. The world is about the Sex and the City DVD Set and then the guys each have their thing. A big centerpiece of the movie just happens to be me but it’s just by chance.”

By now, Sex and the City DVD 2 seems like a sure thing. Garson assured the fans that nobody involved takes it for granted. “We are never egotistical enough to think it’s a blockbuster. It will be what it will be. We make it for the fans. We made the last one for the fans and they really surprised us. So we have no expectations ever. I think this one is really fun.”

Sex and the City DVD boxset 2 opens May 27.

Watch The Office Online

Oh boy. I just saw the US version of Britain's The Office and . . . it's not very good. No surprise, really, but my hopes were up after seeing reports that brilliantly funny Office-creator (and actor) Ricky Gervais approved of it. There's always a concern that memories of the original will cloud your judgement on a remake, but this just isn't the case here; Nearly everything about the US version of the Office is just plain wrong

Anyone watch King of Queens

The King of Queens is friggin hilarious, I usually dont think too many white folks are funny, but Doug Heffernan/Kevin James is one funny dude. Not to mention Jerry Stiller (ben stiller's father) be having me rollin..Anyone else watch this show? If so, what was your favorite moment/episode?
