Grey's Anatomy and FlashForward

Last Thursday was a bit overwhelming TV-wise, but those DVR wars are about to get even more intense with the return of one old favorite and the welcome of something new.

After a Summer of "who's staying and who's going?" rumors, Grey's Anatomy is finally back tonight with the season six premiere. Though last season ended with a much-buzzed about cliffhanger, tonight's episode may be a bit anticlimactic since we already know what fate lies ahead for George and Izzie. Based on the sneak peek photos we saw a few weeks ago, I'm expecting a major tearjerker as we watch the residents of Seattle Grace grieve for their friend and co-worker.

Not interested in pulling out the tissues tonight? I've got a backup and it's called FlashForward. If you haven't heard about this one yet, listen up — not only is it one of the most anticipated new shows of the Fall, but after viewing the pilot, it's one of my top recommendations as well. The show is already getting hyped as the "new Lost, but don't let the sci-fi genre throw you off. The first episode is deeply rooted in developing complex characters and their relationships with one another. Yes, a lot of questions are raised, but the premiere won't leave you confused (though it may leave you wanting more).

So which show are you excited for? Or will you be avoiding both and sticking with one of the many other Thursday night options?

Eric Dane is excited about becoming a dad

Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane is excited about the birth of his first child and is apparently thinking like a prospective dad.
Eric, 36, and pregnant wife Rebecca Gayheart, have still not admitted that they are expecting a child.

Dane's Grey's Anatomy co-star Jessica Capshaw, who plays Dr Arizona Robbins in the TV series about life working as doctors in a hospital, has said on set he doesn't shut up about being a dad.

Capshaw, 33, told Usmagazine.com: "We were working the other day, and he's going through all the new prospective dad things.

"He's like, 'I don't know what I'm getting into; what's going to happen; what kind of dad am I going to be?'"
Despite all his worries, Jessica doubts he'll have any problems. She said: "He'll be a great dad. He's such a nice guy, and he's really funny. He's very warm and sweet."

Recently two other Grey's Anatomy stars, Ellen Pompeo and Katherine Heigl, have also just become parents for the first time.

Grey's Anatomy faces season of change

Grey's Anatomy” may have ended with a cliffhanger, but the show has given up on most of the real suspense.

Yes, when we faded to black back in May, both Izzie (Katherine Heigl) and George (T.R. Knight) were coding — she after suffering a setback in her treatment for metastatic skin cancer, he after deciding to join the Army, stepping in to help a stranger, and being hit by a bus. (Just George's luck.)

But by and large, we know what's happening, and it is the specifics that will come out in the season premiere, spoileriffically titled "Good Mourning/Goodbye."

Baby Alert: Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley

Reps have confirmed to Access Hollywood that Katherine Heigl & Josh Kelley will be adopting. The couple met when Heigl starred in Kelly's music video "Only You" back in 2005. They kept the courtship very private and in December of 2007 in a lavish and star studded ceremony in Park City, Utah the happy couple wed. Radar Online is reporting that the couple has been going through the adoption process for the past ten months and hopes to soon welcome a 10-month baby girl from Nayleigh, Korea.

Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl spoke with Access correspondent Shaun Robinson early this summer about the possibility of children. The two talked about adoption and Heigl remarked that they were "working on it." Heigl also went on to say, "We're working on it. It's just we are super crazed... Neither one of us want to give up our careers, neither one of us want to, you know, just be parents, but you have to slow down a little bit in order to devote the time that's needed." The couple is staying tight lipped about the details surrounding the adoption and will only confirm that they are in fact going through the process.

The busy mom to be will be taking a break from her role as Izzie Stevens for five episodes this year to film Life As We Know It with Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen Josh Duhamel. It is unclear whether she will take any more time off from Grey's once they welcome their new child into their home. So what will this mean for the prime time ABC hit? Grey's creator Shonda Rhimes hinted to characters moving around earlier this year and said, "Eventually, everybody is going to leave the show. So we're looking at [ways] we can mess with the structure now.... Season 6 is about finding the longevity of the show and figuring out if there is a future for this show beyond these characters."

Is Ellen Pompeo's Husband Cheating With A Teen?

Not long ago, the gossip world was abuzz with rumors about Ellen Pompeo's marriage being on the rocks. According to Fox News, the Grey's Anatomy star's husband, Chris Ivery, was partying with other women (sans wedding ring), and seemed to have a special place in his heart for a certain brunette in particular. Ellen Pompeo's Marriage On The Rocks?

But this week's issue of Star suggests that those rumors were only half true. In an exclusive interview with the gossip rag, a waitress named Rachel Artz claims that she's the one Chris, 41, was running around with and the ugly truth is that she's not a brunette at all. She's a blonde. Why Men Take The Easy Way Out

Of course, that's not the most controversial part of the story. There's also the fact that she's a teenager (19). And that the secret affair between her and Chris lasted three months. And that in that time Chris took her everywhere from hotels in Miami to a private residence in Martha's Vineyard to get it on.

All of this, according to Rachel, occurred while Ellen was carrying her and Chris's baby who will be born later this year. Rachel even claims that when she was alone with Chris, he would sometimes talk on the phone with Ellen about their baby-to-be in front of her. Ellen Pompeo Is Pregnant

A rep for Ellen, 39, has denied all details of an affair, but we can't help but wonder: What would Ellen's reps even know about a secret affair? Isn't that's why it's called a secret affair?

Let's hope that if this ends up being true, that Ellen will have a stronger spine than her Grey's Anatomy character and move on before things spin further out of control.

Katherine Heigl Adopting Baby This Week

Katherine Heigl is adopting a baby this week, some website has learned exclusively.

The Grey’s Anatomy star is becoming a mom to a baby girl, a source tell us.

Heigl’s rep officially confirmed to RadarOnline.com that the star is adopting.

Heigl and husband Josh Kelley have wanted a baby for a long time, the insider said, and the adoption process has been in the works for at least six months.

The baby is from Korea. Her full name is Nayleigh and her nickname will be Leigh, RadarOnline.com learned. The baby is approximately 10 months old.

“She is thrilled,” a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com. “She and Josh are so happy.”
The idea of adoption is nothing new for the actress, as she told USA Today two years that it's something she's "always planned."

"I'm done with the whole idea of having my own children," Heigl said.

"[It] doesn't seem like any fun. I don't think it's necessary to go through all of that."

Heigl's own sister Meg is adopted from Korea. Click here to see shots of the Katherine serving as bridesmaid at Meg's October 2007 wedding!

Heigl is on leave of absence from “Grey’s” and starts filming the big-screen feature Life As We Know It next week.

Katherine also recently hosted costar Ellen Pompeo's bridal shower. See pics from the festive day here!

Heigl and Kelley married on December 27, 2007 in Park City, Utah.

Katherine Heigl Sporting A Baby Bump?

According to AceShowBiz.com, Katherine Heigl and husband Josh Kelley were spotted out in Beverly Hills on Saturday shopping for a baby stroller. Paparazzi caught the couple outside high-end baby boutique Bel Bambini. The Grey's Anatomy actress was wearing a loose tunic dress—perfect for hiding an emerging baby bump. And to top it off, Heigl had a lollipop in her mouth instead of her usual cigarette.

But as much as this recent outing has fueled pregnancy rumors, neither Josh or Katherine have confirmed or denied the speculation.

It seemed at first the couple of three years was planning to adopt, at least according to an October 2008 interview the 27 Dresses star gave to Access Hollywood: "[Adoption is] sort of something we're looking into doing in the future," she said. "It's definitely something I'm very passionate about, have always felt passionately about."

Perhaps passion for adoption didn't trump passion in bed.

Season Six of Grey's Anatomy Will Make You Weep

We all remember the shock we felt when a mangled George (T.R. Knight) scribbled "007" on Meredith's (Ellen Pompeo) hand, and now we must relive it all over again.

When Grey's Anatomy returns Sept. 24 with a two-hour season premiere, most fans will already know who's kicking the bucket and who's living to see another day. However, ABC isn't giving it up that easily. In the promo above, the only clue you get is Callie's (Sara Ramirez) reaction to something cataclysmic. We all know Callie and Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) never got along, so she must be mourning George's death, right?

Are you going to cry like Callie during the season premiere? Discuss the new season-six scenes in the comments section.

Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart Take a Weekend Away

Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart headed up the coast from L.A. to the Santa Barbara area over the weekend – just days after a tape leaked online showing the couple and another woman in the nude.

The pair packed their bags, brought their dogs and headed north in a black Toyota Prius on Friday. Said an eyewitness: "Rebecca looked tired and upset."

The Grey's Anatomy star and his wife drove to the romantic and secluded San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, Calif. "It seemed they really wanted privacy," says the source of the couple, who also went to the Four Seasons Biltmore for a workout on Sunday.

The couple spent the weekend going for walks with their dogs, picking up Starbucks coffee and relaxing. They returned to L.A. on Sunday.

The tape showing Dane, Gayheart and another woman – reportedly Kari Ann Peniche, a former Miss Teen USA – socializing in the nude was leaked to the Internet earlier this month.

Peniche has accused her former Celebrity Rehab costar and country singer Mindy McCready of stealing and leaking the racy video. McCready denies the claim. "I did not want to be dragged into all this," the country singer told Access Hollywood. "I did not want to be a part of this."

Dane's lawyer said in a statement last week: "This is simply a private, consensual moment involving a married couple, shot several years ago, which was never intended to be seen by the public."

Grey's Anatomy Star Eric Dane's Naked Threesome Video

Let's start by saying that no one thus far is accusing Gray's Anatomy star Eric Dane of committing a crime. But a new video leaked to the Internet which shows Dane, his wife Rebecca Gayheart and former beauty queen Kari Ann Peniche romping around naked and at times barely coherent has raised some questions.

At one point in the video, Gayheart, who seems to be holding the camera, says "I need to lay down too. I am very high." She then joins a naked Peniche, who was lounging on the bed. Dane wanders around the room, perhaps in search of his pants.

At another point, Grayheart and Peniche are naked together in a bubbly tub talking about drowning rubber duckies.

According to Gawker.com, the Los Angeles Police Department is taking a look. The site has posted what they say is a scan of an evidence receipt for a DVD copy of the video.

According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, anyone who posts the video may have a lawsuit coming, but that hasn't stopped a few brave bloggers.

Gawker has released a 12-minute edited version of the video in which everyone's lower parts are wuzzed out, but if you search for it, be warned, the star and his "co-stars" are topless. Other sites have been more daring.

Dane first appeared in ABC's highly rated show, Gray's Anatomy, in 2005, in which he played Dr. Mark Sloan, also known as McSteamy.

His popularity with fans led to a regular role on the show.

Gayheart is a television and film actress known for roles in "CSI: Miami," "Nip/Tuck" and "Vanished." She also had a recurring role
in the original Beverly Hills 90210 series.

Peniche is a former beauty queen who won Miss United States Teen, but was stripped of her title after appearing nude in Playboy.

She has a clothing line called Strung Out Girl.

Star Dane, Wife and Guest Get McSteamy on Video

Eric Dane has no problem showing off his anatomy.

The 'Grey's Anatomy' star and his wife, actress Rebecca Gayheart, participated in a taped threesome with former beauty queen Kari Ann Peniche, Gawker reports.

The 36-year-old Dane, who plays Mark "McSteamy" Sloan on the hit medical drama, steps in front of and behind the camera, while filming the sexcapades in Peniche's apartment.

The three decide on porn star names and frolick in a jacuzzi all while the camera is rolling. At one point, Gayheart remarks, "I
need to lay down, too. I'm very high."

Grey's Split-source from T.R. Knight

T.R. Knight, who played George O'Malley in Grey's Anatomy, says the reason he quit the hit TV show was that his character wasn't given enough screen time (or time to whine about his problems or watch little Grey fawn on him--depending on how you look at it) and that he didn't ask why this was because he "could not trust the answer" he was given.

He also denied producer Shonda Rhimes' claim that his diminished number of appearances in the last few episodes of the show was a result of the normal "ebbs and flows of ensemble TV"

Knight says, "It didn't seem like an ebb to me. No other series regular's character had ever disappeared like mine did this last season."

Um, did he not watch? Erica just got up and left Callie!!!

He added, "My five year experience proved to me that I could not trust any answer that was given. And with respect, I'm going to leave it at that."

17-hour day was Katherine Heigl's fault?

Keeping up with the Katherine Heigl headlines? Have you ever heard the buzz about her?
'17-hour day she spent on the set of "Grey's Anatomy" a couple weeks back? You know, she kept bringing up during her press tour to promote "The Ugly Truth"?

Well, not everyone found her remarks appropriate, with sources reportedly telling Emmy-winning TV writer and casual blogger Ken Levine that the 17-hour day in question was Katherine's own fault.

Here is an excerpt from Levine's post on the subject:
"Poor Katherine Heigl. What she neglected to add was this: This "cruel" shooting schedule was only to accommodate HER and herneeds. The producers graciously shuffled things around so she could go off and do promotion for her new film. Also, with unionrules, the producers had to pay a ton of overtime and penalties to make this happen."
That does seem to make sense, doesn't it?

Then again, K.H. was totally kidding when she went around telling journalists and talk show hosts and radio personalities that shewanted to embarrass the "GA" producers by spreading the word about this torturously-long day she was subjected to.

Get it? It was just a hilarious...hilarious joke...

Big news for Defying Gravity

Defying Gravity, considered as Grey's Anatomy with astronauts instead of doctors, a new TV series on ABC, premieres this Sunday night, August 2nd with a 2-hour episode at 9pm. And then air at 10pm on Sunday nights thereafter.

This tv series is set in the not too distant future of 2052 where "four women and four men hurtle through space with nothing to do for six years and eight billion miles, except maybe solve a powerful and awesome mystery." Taking a page from "Lost", we look into each of the astronaut's past through flashbacks from earlier years.

Defying Gravity stars Ron Livingston, Christina Cox and Laura Harris. The series is set to air right now for a 13 week run.

'Grey's Anatomy' exclusive:The George story you'll never see

It's now common knowledge that T.R. Knight declined Grey's Anatomy boss Shonda Rhimes' request to briefly return in season 6 to give his terminal George some closure. “I kind of get it,” the series’ creator says in this week's Entertainment Weekly cover story. “[He’d] emotionally walked away." Fans, however, may not be quite as chill when they hear the killer story she had planned for him. Exclusive details about George O'Malley's lost Grey's Anatomy episode can be found after the jump…

In this fall's season premiere, George will succumb to the injuries he sustained after getting mowed down by that bus in last May's finale. But that wasn't supposed to be the last we saw of him. Says Rhimes, the episode was then going to flash back to the hours during which George was missing, from when he left the hospital to when he returned later on as a disfigured John Doe.

"I wanted to see his last day [alive] really badly," she says. "What I thought was interesting was the idea of, we now know it's the last day of someone's life, [so we’re] looking at it differently than [we] would any other time."

Viewers would have also seen firsthand how George's split-second decision to save that girl's life cost him his own. "I wanted to see the moment he leapt in front of the bus," Rhimes confirms. "I wanted to bookend the episode [so that] the first time you see him leap in front of the bus, it's really scary. But the second time you see it, he's a hero.

"I thought it would have been a beautiful episode," she continues, adding that, had we seen those missing hours, "We might have learned something new about George."

Although disappointed she wasn't able to tell that story, Rhimes insists she's content with how George's five-year arc concluded. "We really got to see him grow up," she says. "It really does feel like we watched a full evolution of a character, and I feel good about that."

Still, I would've loved to have seen those flashbacks. What about you? Do you wish Knight had stuck around a little longer to give us George's last day? Or do you agree with him that the final shot of his character standing outside the elevator was "the best way to leave it"? Comment away below!

Heigl Still Hating on Grey's

Say what you will about Katherine Heigl, but she always speaks her mind -- whether it's wise to do so or not. Last night on "The Late Show," she was booked to shill for "The Ugly Truth" but spent the first few minutes talking about "Grey's Anatomy." And when I say talking, I mean subtly jabbing.

"Our first day back was Wednesday and I'm going to keep saying this because I hope it embarrasses them, it was a 17-hour day, which I think is cruel and mean," she told Dave. "It was actually kinda great to be back because all my friends are there...but it was a little weird because T's not there anymore," Katherine said of real-life bestie T.R. Knight, who was killed off the show last year.

As for her own character's fate, Katherine was asked by Dave how much longer her character can stick around. "That's what I keep wondering," she laughed. "You last saw Izzie flatlining, so I won't give it away but I'm either there as a ghost, on the other side or I survived a disease no one survives, so..."
Dave tried to get to the bottom of her fate claiming that anyone who works a 17-hour day isn't simply lying in comatose in a bed.

"They do it to me, I'm sure," she said under her breath letting all us fans know that Katherine still wants off this damn show.

I've got to tell you, Katherine's refusal to play nice is so refreshing and endearing that I will absolutely drop $10 to see "The Ugly Truth" this weekend -- if for no other reason than to keep giving her reasons to prefer life on the big screen!

After the jump, an adorable non-"Grey's" related story from the bubbly (no longer) blonde about doggie dumpster diving!

Katherine Heigl Talks 'Grey's' Future

Just a few months ago, Katherine Heigl’s fate on “Grey’s Anatomy” seemed uncertain after her character, Izzie Stevens, flat lined following brain surgery.

But on Monday night’s “Late Show with David Letterman,” where Katherine confirmed filming has started on Season 6, the upbeat actress told the host she is hoping “Grey’s” is in it for the long haul.

“We have another two years, I think, at least in the contract,” Katherine said “Hopefully the show goes, you know, [into] ‘ER’ time, which would be cool.”

While Katherine would like to see her show hit double digit seasons like “ER,” which bowed out in April after 15 years, she
admitted to not being comfortable with working long hours.

“Our first day back was Wednesday [of last week], and I keep saying this because I hope it embarrasses them – [it was] a 17-hour day,” she told Dave. “I think it’s cruel and mean.”

Also uncomfortable was not having one of her best friends – T.R. Knight – on the set, as his character, Dr. George O’Malley, is not returning for Season 6.
“It was a little weird because [T.R. is] not there anymore,” she said.

But things weren’t all bad.

“It was actually kind of… great to be back,” she said. “All my friends are there and at this point, they’re sort of like family.”

Katherine, however, refrained from clarifying whether her character comes back from flat lining or, like her on-screen husband Denny Duquette, comes back as a ghost or figment of someone’s imagination.

“You last saw Izzie, you know, flat-lining,” she said. “I won’t give it away but… I’m there so I’m either there as a ghost, on the other side or I survived a disease no one survives.”

why T.R Knight really left 'Grey's Anatomy

T.R. Knight finally reveals the reason he left "Grey’s Anatomy."

In Entertainment Weekly, he talks about the strange disappearance of George from the show.

In the first nine episodes of season 5, he was onscreen for 48 minutes.

This compared to 114 minutes for Sandra Oh.

Not that anyone was counting.

Rather than talk to creator Shonda Rhimes about it, he up and left. But his reasoning is interesting. Did it have to do with him being gay?

"My five-year experience proved to me that I could not trust any answer that was given [about George]," he explains. "And with respect, I'm going to leave it at that."

Knight does say that Rhimes was one of those who tried to discourage him from coming out after Isaiah Washington’s gay comments.

But Rhimes denies this in the EW piece.

Walking away from a $14-million contract is not without risk.

"From an outsider's perspective, I get the [impression that] 'He’s just a spoiled actor. … He doesn’t know how good he has it,'

" he says. "There are a lot of people who would like to be in my position. But in the end, I need to be fulfilled in my work."

Katherine Heigl: Weekend Worker

Still rocking her darker hairdo, Katherine Heigl got an early start to the day as she stepped out in Los Angeles on Saturday (July 18).

The “Grey’s Anatomy” actress left her home to attend a business meeting at The Four Seasons Hotel, leaving her husband, Josh Kelley, to tend to the family pooch.

Meanwhile, Miss Heigl, who just premiered her new movie “The Ugly Truth,” chatted with press about filming her hit ABC medical drama without co-star pal T.R.Knight.

She tells, “It’s a little bizarre. I had to call him this morning and say, ‘OK, so this is what happened yesterday! This is what scenes we shot, this is how I felt about it.’”

Heigl added, “He’s who I went to everyday when I wanted to vent or to get advice.”

Enjoy the pictures of Katherine Heigl heading out to the Four Seasons (July 18).

The ‘Truth’ about Katherine Heigl

Star dishes straight talk about R-rated roles, love“The Ugly Truth,” a sweetly outrageous take on the battle of the sexes, marks Katherine Heigl’s second R-rated summer comedy.

“It’s not that I want to do R-rated movies, but they’re the most honest out there. I’m a 30-year-old woman,” the star of TV’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and the 2007 summer smash “Knocked Up” said Friday at L.A.’s Four Seasons Hotel.

“I loved ‘27 Dresses’ ” - her 2008 PG-13 hit - “but I still feel like I want to tell a real story to people my age and my generation. We censor so much of that (raunchy language) for a PG-13 rating that it can start to get a little cute and a little fantasy.”

In “Ugly Truth” Heigl plays Abby, a single California TV talk show producer who has yet to meet her ideal guy.

When Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler) starts making commentaries on her show about what men really think of women, namely their looks - “the ugly truth” as he calls it - it sparks a ratings bonanza.

Though Abby is initially disgusted, the two feel an attraction.

“What I love,” Heigl said, “is they end up together but it didn’t feel like fantasy, it felt like real life - two people sexually attracted to each other who came together emotionally and came together in a grownup’s world.”

Abby is not far from her “Grey’s Anatomy” character Dr. Izzie Stevens. Abby, she said, “Is not Izzie but a distant cousin.”“I definitely want to go and explore different personalities and people. But at the end of the day it’s hard to divorce me from that role. It’s nine months of the year, five days a week. It’s the way I talk and gesture; I’m going to slip in there. For this film I thought I could escape but I couldn’t. Something of me is always going to surface.”

There have been rumors that Heigl was leaving the series, but she returned and filmed 17 hours last Wednesday.

Grey's Anatomy Stars on Emmy Noms

"Grey's Anatomy' stars Justin Chambers, Katherine Heigl, and "Grey's" and "Private Practice" star Kate Walsh open up to ET about their co-stars Emmy Award nominations, and about filming the new season without T.R. Knight.

Justin Chambers tells ET about co-stars Sandra Oh, and Chandra Wilson who recieved nominations in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category. Wilson also received a second nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Mini-series or Movie for her role in 'Accidental Friendship.'

"She got nominated for two, it's exciting," he says about Wilson's nominations. "We're really happy for her, and for Sandra, and we're happy to be back at work."

The 'Grey's' stars also tell ET's Kevin Frazier what it's like filming the show now that T.R. Knight has left the cast.
"a piece of the puzzle is missing," Chambers says. "But you know, TR's going on to Broadway. "He's going to have a huge career ahead of him."

"It's really hard actually," Katherine Heigl adds about Knight's departure. "For me, he was such a source of friendship and
support, and love and laughter. It doesn't feel the same."

ET caught up with the stars at the premiere of Heigl's film 'The Ugly Truth,' and Kate Walsh spilled secrets about what's in store for her character Dr. Addison Montgomery -- watch the video for more!

'The Ugly Truth' Premiere Attracts 'Grey's Anatomy' Buds

Katherine Heigl's BFF from Grey's Anatomy, T.R. Knight, showed up to support his buddy at the premiere of her romantic comedy with Gerard Butler. The former cast member of the ABC drama stepped onto the red carpet for The Ugly Truth premiere at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, by Katherine's side. Meanwhile, I just now really started to notice her auburn locks. I wonder if that was T.R.'s idea.

Fellow Grey's alum, Kate Walsh was also on hand for the event. The star of Private Practice showed off her legs in a short white 2-piece suit. She showed off some summer-ready feet in a pair of gold peep-toe heels. Very cute.

Meanwhile, tennis superstar sisters, Venus and Serena Williams continue to paint the town red after attending the ESPY Awards earlier. Venus opted for a simple peach-colored strapless sheath dress and some matching bejeweled sandals. Very sleek. I'm also loving the look Serena flaunted in an A-line black halter dress with some simple soft curls.

Why Katherine Heigl Is 'Ashamed' of Herself

Katherine Heigl isn’t proud of some her habits.

In an interview with InStyle magazine, the “Grey’s Anatomy” actress and star of the upcoming movie “The Ugly Truth,” says she is “ashamed” of herself for continuing to smoke, adding that “it’s so stupid.”

But one thing Heigl, 30, doesn’t feel any shame for his expressing her opinions – even when it gives her a bad reputation.

"I've got this moniker that I'm the foot-in-mouth gal, and I keep thinking, 'In what way?'” she said. “Because I said something you don't agree with? Because I said something you don't like? I'm just telling you my opinion. I hate the idea that I can't be honest about how I feel about things because it's going to piss somebody off who feels differently. That seems preposterous to me."

But the criticism has hardly stalled her career momentum, as her new film with Gerard Butler might just be the box office's next big hit. Heigl says that part of that has to do with the frank subject matter of the film.

"I know this is going to sound bad but I'm really glad ['Ugly Truth' is rated] R. I didn't want to do another PG-13 movie. [In any real-life contentious relationship with romantic underpinnings] you're probably going to drop the F-bomb once in a while. You're probably going to say some things that are kind of harsh. And you're definitely going to talk about sex. It doesn't have to be so Snow White and Prince Charming."

Could There Be a Wedding in the Grey's Anatomy Season Premie

The season-six premiere of Grey's Anatomy begins shooting on July 15, and casting directors are currently looking for actors to play the guest roles.

One role in particular listed in the Anatomy season premiere casting call may catch fans' eyes: Producers are looking for someone to play a Catholic priest in his 60s.

Could this possibly mean that Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) are finally getting married? Or could someone be receiving last rites—like perhaps Dr. George O'Malley, since actor T.R. Knight is not returning for season six? Hmmm...

And what other characters can we expect in the season premiere? The producers are also looking for an 18-year-old male patient, Andy Smith, and his mother, Pam, for a two-episode arc, in addition to what appears to be a few foreign gals backpacking across America who end up in the hospital.

The episode will be written by executive producer Krista Vernoff and directed by Ed Ornelas.

Could this be the moment? Will MerDer finally have more than just a Post-it note signifying their marriage? And if so, could a
McBaby be on the way? Hit the comments!

Chandra Wilson Gets Promotion on 'Grey's Anatomy'

The actress who portrays Dr. Bailey will both be starring and directing an episode of sixth season this Fall.A leading lady of "Grey's Anatomy" gets the promotion. Chandra Wilson aka Dr. Miranda Bailey is going to direct an episode of the medical drama this season although details surrounding this are still scarce. Wilson's directorial debut will mark the first time a star of the series takes charge behind the lens.

Creator Shonda Rhimes confirmed on her Twitter that the production of sixth season will begin next week. Meanwhile, E! Online is spilling a scoop that actually there was another actor who negotiated to direct an episode. This unnamed actor also wanted a more creative and personal freedom in the show which will alter his or her contract.

In another "Grey's Anatomy" news round-up, Ellen Pompeo is expected to continue her work as Meredith despite her pregnancy. The actress who is due this fall reportedly will not get a baby break because, according to E!, ABC did not want Rachel Griffiths to take a leave from "Brothers & Sisters" after giving birth, so it may demand the same thing from Pompeo.

The sixth season kicks off September 24. Now that Disney (which owns ABC) is officially in partnership with Hulu, fans of the show can watch the five most recent aired episodes of the popular drama show online.

Grey's Anatomy's top ten most romantic scenes

'Grey's Anatomy' is the most popular romantic drama on television today. Here's a countdown of the most romantic moments of the show's first five seasons:
10. The Episode: Season Five, Episode 18 "Stand By Me"
The Couple: Mark and Lexie
The Moment: Fed up with all the gossip about herself that she's heard from her fellow interns, Lexie shuts them all up by planting a big kiss on Mark in front of everyone, and assuring herself that their relationship can adapt to a hostile environment.
9. The Episode: Season Two, Episode 17 "As We Know It"
The Couple: Meredith and Derek
The Moment: Everyone at Seattle Grace Hospital has just narrowly escaped death, thanks to a patient who arrived with an unexploded bomb in his chest. Meredith became the hero of the day when she stuck her finger on the bomb to keep it from exploding, but she can't stop thinking about how she can't remember the last time she kissed Derek. Once the crisis is over, he shows up unexpectedly at her house to check on her. Derek can't kiss her or hold Meredith, since he's still married to Addison, but he still manages to comfort her by giving her back the memory of their perfectly ordinary, lavender-scented last kiss.

8. The Episode: Season Four, Episode Five "Haunt You Every Day"
The Couple: Alex and Rebecca
The Moment: Just when Alex- and all the fans of this star-crossed couple- had given up on ever seeing her again, Rebecca (AKA Ava the amnesiac) returns to Seattle Grace for the chance to resume her alternate identity for one more day.
7. The Episode: Season Five, Episode 14 "Beat Your Heart Out"
The Couple: Callie and Arizona
The Moment: After her sudden break-up with Erica Hahn, Callie is convinced she can't stand any more heartbreak or disappointment. Unfortunately, she's also positive that happiness just isn't in the cards for her. But all of that changes in a heartbeat when Arizona Robbins, a complete stranger to her at the time, tracks her down in the ladies' room at Emerald City Bar to give her a kiss- and give her back her sense of hope.
6. The Episode: Season Two, Episode 27 "Losing My Religion"
The Couple: Meredith and Derek
The Moment: Everything about it was wrong- the timing, the setting, and the fact that Derek's anxious wife and Meredith's oblivious boyfriend were waiting for them downstairs at the hospital prom. But when Derek and Meredith made love in that empty exam room, their passion and longing for each other had been building up for so long, the moment still somehow felt exactly right.
5. The Episode: Season Five, Episode Two "Dream A Little Dream Of Me (Part Two)"
The Couple: Cristina and Owen
The Moment: Cristina had just been impaled in the gut by an icicle- an obvious metaphor for what had happened to her heart since Burke left her at the altar. But then along came visiting trauma surgeon Owen Hunt to rip the literal icicle right out of her, and melt the figurative one with a steamy kiss.
4. The Episode: Season Two, Episode Seven "Something To Talk About"
The Couple: Alex and Izzie
The Moment: We see a different side of the usually sexually aggressive Alex when he chickens out of kissing Izzie on their first date. But he makes up for it in a big way when he finally storms into Emerald City Bar and sweeps her up in a big Hollywood-style kiss in front of her friends.
3. The Episode: Season Five, Episode 19 "Elevator Love Letter"
The Couple: Meredith and Derek
The Moment: After some truly unbelievable obstacles, Derek finally finds the perfect way to propose to his beloved Meredith- in an elevator decorated with brain scans of all the surgeries they've worked on together. It's the perfect symbol of how far they've come as a couple, and what they're capable of accomplishing together.

2. The Episode: Season Five, Episode 22 "What A Difference A Day Makes"
The Couple: Alex and Izzie
The Moment: After Derek's sweet proposal to Meredith, some fans were understandably disappointed that when their wedding day came, the happy couple stepped aside to allow a cancer-stricken Izzie to have the wedding of her dreams. The moment could have been played as nothing more than a kind gesture, but Alex's emotional personalized vows and Izzie's struggle to make it down the aisle made this wedding the romantic peak of the season.
1. The Episode: Season Four, Episode 17 "Freedom (Part Two)"
The Couple: Meredith and Derek

The Moment: The show's central couple are in the middle of the darkest period of their relationship. Their clinical trial is not going well. Derek is dating another woman and has told Meredith that after their next surgery, he never wants to see her again. But after they finally manage to save a patient, and Meredith has a breakthrough in therapy, they finally realize that their moment has come. After searching everywhere for Meredith, Derek returns home to his trailer and finds her on his land, surrounded by candles. She's laid out the plan for their dream house. And after letting her yell at him for a minute about how she can't believe she did something so corny and how mad she is at him for being late, and how she's still scared of what could happen to them, he kisses her. And they decide that it's finally time to be extraordinary together, instead of being ordinary apart.

Do you agree with the list or are there other great romantic 'Grey's' moments that you feel are missing? Sound off in the comments section.

Medical drama gets second opinion

THOSE of you who were glued to your screens for the first season of Private Practice will be excited to hear that M-Net has brought the series back , and it kicks off tonight.

A spin-off of Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice chronicles the life of Addison Montgomery, played by Kate Walsh, as she leaves Seattle Grace Hospital (the setting of Grey’s) to join a private practice in Los Angeles.

Following a failed attempt at reconciliation with her former husband, McDreamy, in Grey’s Anatomy (Derek Shepherd), the neonatal surgeon moves to Santa Monica, California, for sunnier weather and happier possibilities.
Here, she reunites with old friends from medical school who now run a chic co-op.

The first season deals with Addison’s attempts to adjust to a very different working environment at Oceanside Wellness Group, a private practice run along more alternative lines.

In the second season, friendships at the centre are tested and secrets revealed when Addison discovers that fertility specialist Naomi Bennett is concealing the practice’s financial problems.
Meanwhile, co-op psychiatrist Violet Turner wonders what secret the centre’s paediatrician, Cooper Freedman, is keeping from her, while Cooper has to decide whether or not to reveal a medical secret to a patient.

The practice continues to be bogged down by financial troubles through the season’s first half. The relationship between Cooper and Charlotte King, the chief of staff of the nearby hospital, proves to be a roller coaster, particularly when she opens a competing practice,
And, as usual, Addison is not without love troubles of her own, but manages to distract herself with a very handsome special weapons officer, while founding partner Sam Bennett and Naomi continue to battle to unhook themselves from each other.

And, as always, the series has a mountain of medical mysteries.
